March 8th is

International Women's Day.

Officially started in March of 1911

this International Day started with the support of over one million people who demanded the

realization of women's rights.

The theme for this year is Choose to Challenge with the idea that a challenged world is an alert world.

Mountain View Museum

has received the
Recognized Museum designation

from the Alberta Museums Association. The museum earned this designation after demonstrating their continued commitment to meeting or exceeding standards of museum practice.

See new Exhibits Celebrating 100 years of Olds History. See what Olds and it's Community was like in the 1920's. Many new artifacts are on display that have never been shown in the Museum. 

Mountain View museum and Archives has been closed since December 19th, 2020, due to Covid 19 restrictions. The loss of our day to day donations has become critical. The Mountain View Museum & Archives Is A Not For Profit Organization Located In Olds, AB.

 The Mission of the Olds Historical Society is to Collect, Preserve and Provide Access to the History,

Heritage and Culture of Olds and District through the Operation of the Mountain View Museum and Archives.  

MountainViewMuseum and Archives is operated by the Olds Historical Society.
The Olds Historical Society was formed in 1972 and incorporated on the 11th of January 1973.
